While out riding on our Victory '04 Touring Cruiser, we were about 12 miles from home when the clutch cable broke. I had to limp back home on the bike, which was a challenge. I went to get a new clutch cable and was shocked at the cost. It took an hour to install it, not something you could do easily if you were on the road. I knew there had to be a better way to do this, so I studied the Victory motorcycle clutch linkage on my bike and developed my own emergency clutch cable kit that would easily fit into the original housing and make a quick repair. I had several prototypes made and installed one on our Victory Touring Cruiser for road testing.
